Billy the Raindrop-Water Cycle
Storyboard Text
- Hi, our names are Billy,Tilly and Milly the raindrops and these are our stories about how we went through the Water Cycle.
- It all began on one sunny afternoon...
- We were all swimming in the ocean when the sun's heat heated us up and we all stared to evaporate.
- None of us knew what was happening to us, but then Mr. Sun said that we were evaporating and transforming into water vapour.
- We were scared and wanted to go back home. We were getting squished in the sky! But then Mr. Sun said:
- This is Tilly's story
- " It's okay. You're are just going through the condensation phase of the Water Cycle. You are condensing and changing from water vapour into clouds.
- We all shouted, "Ahhhh! we're falling! Someone save us! Help!", but then Mr. Sun replied,
- "Relax. You're just precipitating from the clouds as rain. You'll be fine. You're simply falling out and you'll be back home real soon."
- As I was falling, a leaf caught me, meaning he intercepted me. I then managed to drip down and wiggled my way across the grass (also called the surface runoff) and dive into a stream.
- Unfortunately for the raindrops, they all landed in different places after precipitating from the clouds.So lets start with Billy's journey...
- From here the stream got bigger and I ended up in a channel which then lead to the ocean. I was back home! But now we have to wait for Tilly and Milly to come back, I think I see Tilly's story coming...
- From the ground I entered a tree root and made my way to the top of the tree and then transpired (meaning I evaporated but from the tree). I was then squished and condensed into a cloud again. Then I finally precipitated back into the ocean and met up with Billy again! But me and Billy still, have to wait for Milly. Wait, I think I see her story coming...
- I landed in a puddle starting of as surface storage, but then I started sinking into the ground-infiltrating.
