Hi! my name is Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. I'm from Africa.
At an early age, I became an early reader and writer.
Growing up I was exposed to American and British Children's book.
At some point in my life journey...I came across Nigerian books.
I wrote my own stories. I wrote of things, I recognized.
By being exposed to Nigerian books. This saved me from the danger of a single story.
Stories are defined by power. To make it a definite story.
A single story creates stereotypes. Single stories are incomplete.
Single story doesn't emphasis our similarities; but how different we are.
Stories matter. Stories can be used to empower and repair human dignity.
When we reject the single story; we regain a kind of paradise
