Storyboard Text

  • Mom, I've put deep thought into it and I've decided It's time for me to fully come out of my shell. Starting next week I want to quit homeschooling and attend my first day of the second grade.
  • I'll register you for Mater Beach Academy Tonight.
  • That's a huge decision kai! School can be difficult for new students to adapt to, but It's nothing you can't handle.
  • Wow!
  • Don't worry son. Everything will work out fine. Now, clear your mind and get some rest.
  • *Sigh*
  • I hope I made the right decision when I chose to stop homeschooling.
  • Tomorrows a huge day! It's your first day of elementary school. Starting school will challenge and change your life in many ways, so as your parents, we want you to be prepared for it.
  • First Day of School!
  • Good morning and welcome to the second grade! My name is Ms. Gomez and I will be your teacher this school year.
  • School has been pretty intimidating so far. At least my teacher's kind.
  • 15 Minutes of recess remaining!
  • All my classmates seem to have met friends already. If I don't work up the courage to come out of my shell soon, I won't meet anyone!
  • Ok... this is my time to shine.
  • Hi! My name is Kai and I'm new to the school. Do you mind if I sit with you guys?
  • Nice to meet you! Of course you can sit here.
  • All in all, it's safe to say I had a wonderful day and I'm happy with my decision to stop homeschooling.
  • So, tell me, how was your first day of school?
  • At the start of my day I was staying in my shell and feeling like an outsider. Luckily, I realized this had to change, so I came out of my shell and introduced myself to my classmates. They turned out to be extremely welcoming and fun. I learned that when I'm faced with a problem I should come out my shell and face it head on, rather than just hiding.
  • Bye students!
