- "I'm so sorry Laura."
- Amanda tells Laura of the gentlemen caller coming. She tells her to work hard and make the house look spotless. Laura isn't very excited about this at all.
- "Laura don't forget what I told you. Also sorry about kissing you, but Betty is up waiting for me to get home."
- Jim arrives for dinner. Amanda loves him so much and works hard to get Laura and Jim alone. She wants them to fall in love.
- “All right, I will! The more you shout about my selfishness to me the quicker I’ll go, and I won’t go to the movies.”
- Jim and Laura are alone for a while just getting to know each other. Laura shows Jim her collection of glass sculptures. Jim accidentally knocks over Laura's favorite, a unicorn.
- "Oh, Laura, Laura, I tried to leave you behind me, but I am more faithful than intended."
- Jim explains to Amanda and Laura that he actually has a fiance and is getting married in July. Amanda and Laura don't know how to react.
- Tom and Amanda have their last fight. Tom gets angrier than ever and finally makes up his mind. He is going to leave his family to travel to the places he has always wanted to go.
- Tom leaves Amanda and Laura to travel. He feels bad about leaving Laura but doesn't really care about Amanda. He knows what he did was wrong and he prays they'll forgive him.
