Well I don't know about you but I would rather be known as a hero who died in battle rather than a loser who did nothing
Don't fear death, only gods are immortal. Let's go fight Humbaba Enkidu
Well I guess I can't let you go alone or else what kind of friend will I be, but we have to tell the elders of uruk first
What's the point of going if most likely we are going to die
May the gods protect you on your journey
Well there is no way we can stop our great leader, he is burning with passion
I Gilgamesh will go into the forest and fight the the monster Humbaba
"It is a road which you have never travelled"
Let Enkidu lead
May shamash bring you victory
Don't trust your strength, Enkidu knows the forest more
Off we go my great friend
Gilagemash tries his best in order to have Enkidu accompany him on his dangerous journey. He wanted to show everyone that he would be able to protect them with his strength and bravery. He didn't want to be recognized as weak and he was trying to give the same advice to his more fearful friend
What is this? What is this weird sensation that I'm feeling??
Gotta go tell the master
I can't believe we finally made it!!!
Enkidu and Gilgamesh present themselves in front of the Elders of Uruk at the marketplace. At the time they were also discussing Humbaba and Gilgamesh states that he will be going to go slay the monster in the forest. The men agreed to his request knowing he wouldn't back down. At the same time Enkidu was dying of fear.
AHHHHH!!!!!! THE PAIN!!!!! AHHHHH!!!!
*Wakes up but is still in his dream
As soon as he declared his journey, the armorers brought Gilgamesh his quiver, bow and two edged sword. Then they started on their way to the forest. The elders gave them a plain blessing and the people started wishing them luck.
So you're the monster that has been terrorizing my people
Not again!! Shamash send help please!!! I need it
