- The Vietnam war started because the north wanted the south to reconnect and become communists but the south refused. The North was not happy that the south refused so they invaded the south.
- NO WAY
- I think that we should reconnect and be a communist!!!
- After the invasion, the US quickly sent over troops to protect the south from becoming communists.
- American troops were not use to fighting in the hot, dense jungles. Also, the use of Guerilla Warfare made it impossible to know when you were going to be attacked. This caused all of the troops to stress out.
- The people on the homefront protested that we got involved in the war and they thought that we should not have been involved because they never asked for help and some families wanted their sons back.

- Finally, the American government realized that fighting in the war was a bad idea and in 1973 the US signed a cease-fire agreement with the north and left the south on its own.
- I have realized that we should withdraw our troops from the war. I agree!

- Once the US left, the south was defeated and all Vietnam became communists
