I'm not afraid of anyting!
She spent her days and nights hunting. Mortals steered clear of her. No one wanted to upset the Moon Goddess.
One day, a man named Actaeon walked passed Artemis bathing. He had hered tales of her but never imagined her to be so pretty. He stopped and stared at her for a long time. When Artemis turned around she saw him standing there staring. She became furious. She reached down and got a hand full of water and threw it at him. He bacame a stag. Then she had her hounds kill him.
The story of Actaeon's death traveled everywhere. One famous hunter named Orion wasn't afraid of the stories told about Artemis. He could not resist the lure of the woods. And he had fallen in love with one of the nyphs that protected Artemis. Wherever she went, Orion went.
One day Orion and his dogs were hunting when he saw a flash of white in the bush in front of him. He thought it was a flock if birds so he moved very carefully. When he got closer he realized that these were no birds, they were the seven nymphs that protect Artemis. They started to run and Orion chased them. They cried for help just as Orion reached out to grab one of their tunics. Artemis turned them into a flock of white doves and Zeus turned them into a group of stars where they now remain.
Aretmis turned back to Orion and looked ant him. She saw how strong and handsome he was. Soon they were hunting with each other and challenging each other. They liked each other.
