Storyboard Text

  • Hey there! Let me tell you a little bit about the states of matter. The three most common states of matter are SOLIDS, LIQUIDS and GASES
  • Okay, SOLIDS, solids have a definite shape and volume. The molecules are tightly packed and don't move that much. An example of a solid is this rug I am standing on!
  • When solids MELT, they become liquids!
  • Liquids, liquids do not have a shape, they take the shape of the container they are in, just like this lemonade! The molecules of a liquid move more freely than those of a solid.
  • Also a liquid
  • Liquid can turn into a gas through the process of evaporation. I just heated this pot of water and look at all of that steam evaporating into the air!
