- My sons can’t take over my kingdom! Send them down the river!
- I’ll take care of them now.
- We don't want to accept this offer. We are going to find our own city!
- Two twins named Romulus and Remus were born to a father named Mars. Mars did not want them to take over his kingdom so he sent them down the Tiber River.
- It should be on this hill!
- No, this hill!
- The two boys were found by a wolf. He took care of them by protecting them from other wild animals and gave them food. Later on, a shepherd took them and raised them as his children.
- My wall is good! Stop making fun of it! I will put you to death!
- Come on! It was just a joke!
- Romulus and Remus were going to get crowned partners in being the king. They rejected the offer and wanted to find their own city.
- Finally! Rome is mine!
- Both Romulus and Remus went to find their own city. They both loved the idea of having it on a hill. They wanted it on different hills. Romulus wanted Palatine Hill while Remus wanted Aventine Hill. They waited for a response from the gods; they used both hills.
- Romulus started to build a wall around Palatine Hill and Remus started to make fun of it. Romulus got mad, so he killed Remus.
- After Remus was killed, Romulus named Rome after himself. He ruled Rome. Rome became one of the most powerful cities.
- Mmm. This wine is good.
