- The Fantastic Story of Dust Bowl Dusty: His Long Road to Finding Gainful Employment
- I found work at a gas station but I'm not making any money because no one can afford gas plus not many people have a car because the bank repossessed it. What a drag man!
- I sure should have used better farming practices back in the day. This Dust Bowl is killing me. I have no crops, no livestock and my family left me. At least I still have my house!
- Dusty's wife and kids are running away! Poor Dusty!
- Life during the Great Depression isn't easy!
- Nevermind. The bank took my house too. So now I'm riding the rails looking for work. Making my way to California to find a job. I have the Zeppelin song "Going to California" playing over and over again in my head.
- Well, I actually ended up in D.C. as part of the Bonus Army protest. I am a veteran of WW I and I am demanding the bonus the gov't promised me. I am broke and I need my money. I got my buddies here to help out!
- I really need a job! My wages didn't increase with inflation and I couldn't afford to feed my family. Can anyone spare a dime?
