- Good Morning my dear grade 9 students, Our topic for today is all about the 8 parts of speech. I will present some sentences/phrases with underlined words. What you're going to do is to identify the underlined word/s, if it is a noun, pronoun,verb, adverb, adjective, conjunction, interjection or preposition. After that, you will define the meaning of your answer. Raise your hand if you have an answer. Understood?

- The underlined word is a noun. A collective noun to be specific, it is a noun that names a group of people or things, such as flockorsquad.
- The underlined world is an adverb. Adverbs provide a description of how, where, when, in what manner and to what extent something is done or happens. Normally, we can spot an adverb by the fact that it often ends in – ly.
- My answer is interjection. An interjection is a part of speech that reveals the emotions of the speaker. An interjection is typically punctuated with an exclamation point.
- Good job students. Now, i will give a brief explanation on the remaining 5. There are eight parts of speech in English Language: noun, pronoun, verb, adverb, adjective, preposition, conjunction, and interjection. These eight parts of speech indicates how the word functions in the meaning as well as grammatically within the sentence. A verb is a word or a combination of words that indicates action or a state of being or condition, example, run, dance, eat, walk etc. Adjective is a word belonging to one of the major form classes in any of numerous languages and typically serving as a modifier of a noun to denote a quality of the thing named examples are big, beautiful, fast etc. A pronoun isdefined as a word or phrase that is used as a substitution for a noun or noun phrase, which is known as the pronoun’s antecedent, she, this, him, he are some of the examples. A conjunction isa part of speech that is used to connect words, phrases, clauses, or sentences, example, and, for, but etc. Lastly,A preposition is a part of speech that shows the relation of a noun or pronoun to another word., like on,in, at etc.
- Now that you have an idea about the eight parts of speech. I want you to apply what you have learned. In this 21st century, performance, skills and abilities are very important. Now, i want you to write a reflective essay about“THE HAPPIEST MOMENT OF YOUR LIFE”. The proper usage of the eight part of speech must be observe on your essay. And for your project, each one of you will perform a 3 - minute monologue. . In your monologue the eight parts of speech must be present. You can use any materials for the costumes and props.
