When the boys plane crashes, they are stranded alone on an island. The boys enjoy being alone, without adults they can do what they want. Ashore they find a conch and use it to contact each other.

While some boys tried to create order with ralph (red), several other boys chose chaos with jack (blue). Causing a struggle of power. Eventually the boys take sides, some go with ralph some go with jack.
When a boy claims to have seen a beast-like creature, it strikes fear into the other boys. Jack's group swears to hunt and kill the beast. While Ralph says otherwise.
Jack mounts this pig head and calls it a sacrifice to appease the beast. Simon, realizing the beast isn't real, proclaims that it is just a pig head on a stick! Simon tries to explain that they are the beast, by saying he is. In the groups anger they kill Simon, believing him to be the beast
Ralph and Piggy go to confront Jack about stealing Piggy's glasses, there Roger, a cruel boy, drops a boulder on Piggy killing him and breaking the conch. Ralph realizes Jacks group is sadistic, and runs away. Jack then sets fire to the brush to smoke Ralph out.
Ralph runs toward the beach, where he meets a naval officer, who'd been attracted by the smoke of the fires. As Ralph begins to explain what happened, he breaks down and sobs. Eventually the other boys end up at the beach, and start crying too. THE END
