I can't wait to tell you all about AVLIC's Professional Conduct Review Process (PCRP).
PCRP is a complaint mechanism AVLIC offers to consumers and other stakeholders.
The PCRP only applies to AVLIC members. If someone has a complaint against an interpreter that is not an AVLIC member, AVLIC does not have the authority to hold that person accountable for their professional conduct through to the PCRP.
In 2015, AVLIC members approved the bylaws that supported the development of the PCRP.
And now the policies & procedures to guide and support the program are in the final rounds of drafting.
Over the next few days, I will walk you through the entire process.
