Sumter, South Carolina Friday April 12th 1861The first major battle in the Civil War. It was a standoff really, we didn't fight and after 4 hours we surrendered. Sadly the only deaths happened by accident and not from enemy fire during our final 100 gun salute!
Wednesday' September 17 ,1862 Sharpsburg, MDThis battle was important for the emancipation proclamation. if we had lost it wouldn't have been released.
Wednesday July 1st-Friday July 3rd Gettysburg,PAThis battle gave us the momentum to keep us going throughout the rest of the war.
Monday May 18th-Wednesday July 4thVicksburg,Mississippi This battle allowed us to gain control of the Mississippi River.This will help tremendously to contain the Confederates.

March 4th, 1861Federal Hall, New York Lincoln promised not to mess with slavery as it was in the south. We thought he was on our side- feeling betrayed.
January 1st, 1863Federal Hall, New york Lincoln just freed alot of slaves in rebellious states.This is a major win for us.
