  • Sumter, South Carolina Friday April 12th 1861The first major battle in the Civil War. It was a standoff really, we didn't fight and after 4 hours we surrendered. Sadly the only deaths happened by accident and not from enemy fire during our final 100 gun salute!
  • Wednesday' September 17 ,1862 Sharpsburg, MDThis battle was important for the emancipation proclamation. if we had lost it wouldn't have been released.
  • Wednesday July 1st-Friday July 3rd Gettysburg,PAThis battle gave us the momentum to keep us going throughout the rest of the war.
  • Monday May 18th-Wednesday July 4thVicksburg,Mississippi This battle allowed us to gain control of the Mississippi River.This will help tremendously to contain the Confederates.
  • April 9, 1864Appottomax,VirginaThis battle was the first of the last battles in the civil war.I might finaly be able to return home.
  • 1861-1865Civil War Battle over slavery and for freedom.This has scarred me for life. Even in victory I have sacrificed so much- war is hard.
  • November 19, 1863Gettysburg ,PennsylvaniaPresident Lincoln's speech marked the battlefield as a cemetery. A tragedy that we lost many men.
  • March 4th, 1861Federal Hall, New York Lincoln promised not to mess with slavery as it was in the south. We thought he was on our side- feeling betrayed.
  • January 1st, 1863Federal Hall, New york Lincoln just freed alot of slaves in rebellious states.This is a major win for us.
