Storyboard Text

  • The eye is a spherical organ that is responsibly for seeing. It has a socket in the skull where it's supposed to go and is held down by muscle.Although the eye isn't a perfect sphere it is split up into two sections the external which contains sclera, conjunctiva, cornea, iris, and pupil. Then we have the internal section which contains the lens, retina, optic nerve, aqueous humour, and vitreous humour
  • When a patient has color blindness we know that there is an issue with the pigments in certain color-sensing nerve cells of the eye. The name for these cells are Cones . They are present in the retina, a light-sensitive layer of tissue in the rear of the eye.
  • In your daughters case she has red-green colorblindness, meaning that#160; she cant see shades of red green or even sometimes yellow the way we normally see them. She most likely see's them as all one color or different shades of the same color, aka brown. It is usually diagnosed in around the age of 4 but with your daughter we diagnosed it a little later, now she's around 7-8
