- On August 6th 1945 an American B-29 bomber dropped an attomic bomb nicknamed "little boy" on the unexpecting city of Hiroshima.
- BOOM!
- What's going on!?
- Shortly after the bombing in Hiroshima, another atomic bomb, nicknamed "Fat Man" was dropped in Nagisaki.
- Just close your eyes and hope for the best
- America was concened that Germany was creating new nuclear weapons, so they started to make their own (manhattan project)
- Excellent!
- This will do so much destruction!
- Many people think that it was a necessary move to end WW2 (Because Japan would have never surrendered otherwise). Sucessfully, it did cause the Japanese emperor (Hirohito) to surrender.
- Great idea!
- The Hiroshima bombing killed around 66,000 people, and the Nagisaki bombing killed about 39,000 people. The effects of the bombing destoyed plenty of infulstructure, cost the government a fortune.
- After the bombings, survivors suffered from long term health effects from radiation (Cancer, Leukemia, deformed babies) . They would also have to live with the trauma for the rest of their lives.
