- King James I didn’t agree much with Parliament and shut them down twice. He raised taxes without permission and spent more money than he was given. Although he was able to take England out of the Anglo War and the Thirty Years War which prevented casualties.
- King Charles I shut down Parliament and then opened it so that he could fund a war but when they refused he shut it down again and demanded money from the people, Parliament then claimed that they could never be dissolved. He declared war on Spain and afterwards agreed to the Petition of Rights.
- Oliver Cromwell is the leader of the roundheads and got King Charles I executed. He dissolved Parliament by marching in with soldiers and had strict reforms and societies entertainment. His military enforced laws and helped him invade Ireland.
