  • Teachers are able to use differentiation to tailor learning to meet the individual needs of the students. Teachers differentiate many different ways including content, process, learning environment, projects. Please find a brief explanation to each picture box in the storyboard for 5 ways to differentiate instruction. .
  • Heterogeneous and homogeneous grouping- Grouping students who have similar academic abilities in groups or grouping students where many different ability levels are present in the group.
  • Students can receive differentiated instruction through utilizing technology through educational games (ABC Mouse, Funbrain) and reading apps (EPIC)and math tutorial apps (Khan Academy).
  • Formative assessments help us differentiate instruction and improve student achievement by monitoring the skills they have mastered and what they still need to work on.
  • Tier three one on one intensive tutoring sessions are helpful when a student requires that one on one approach. One on one is usually common for special education services.
  • Centers are activities that are created based on student assessment data. In centers students work with multilevel resources. Students are engaged in their learning with hands on practices and activities. Different levels of support based are designed based on student needs are incorporated into the centers.
