- The sense of smell is very important to us. The way that we are able to smell deals with the olfactory receptors. These receptors have hairs that help stimulate the olfactory nerve.
- I can smell that delicious cake!
- The olfactory nerve then conducts the impulse to the olfactory cortex of the brain. There is also the possibility of an "odor snapshot" when you smell something that brings you back to a certain memory.
- The olfactory nerves are very sensitive, even the smallest sent of something can activate them.
- Let them eat cake!
