- This land on which you lie I will give to you and your offspring
- Why have you deceived me? I worked the 7 years!
- Jacob accidentally makes Leah Pregnant
- In our country the first born comes first. Keep Leah for a week and work 7 more years and then you may have Rachel.
- Now Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing with which his father had blessed him, and Esau said to himself, “The days of mourning for my father are approaching; then I will kill my brother Jacob.” But the words of Esau her older son were told to Rebekah. Then Isaac sent Jacob away. And he went to Paddan-aram, to Laban, the son of Bethuel the Aramean, the brother of Rebekah, Jacob's and Esau's mother.

- In his dream God said, "I am the Lord, the God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac. The land on which you lie I will give to you and to your offspring. - Jacob fell in love with Rachel, but he was forced to work 7 years for her. After the 7 years passed, Laban had a feast for Jacob. He then gave Jacob Leah instead of Rachel and Jacob couldn't tell the difference after all of the partying. Jacob got very upset, but Laban said, "It is not so done in our country, to give the younger before the firstborn. Complete the week of this one, and we will give you the other also in return for serving me another seven years. He then finally got Rachel after the week.

- Rachel finally had Joseph and she said, "May the Lord add to me another son!"After fearing Esau, he took his wives and children away. Later on they crossed the Jabbok River, but Jacob stayed behind. He then wrestled with someone all night until the other man finally put Jacob's hip out. They then stopped wrestling and that man was really God and God blessed Jacob. His name then became Israel because he had wrestled with God.
- Essau approached Jacob with 400 men, but they didn't attack. Rather they made amends. Then Esau said, “Let us journey on our way, and I will go ahead of you.” But Jacob said to him, “My lord knows that the children are frail, and that the nursing flocks and herds are a care to me. If they are driven hard for one day, all the flocks will die. Let my lord pass on ahead of his servant, and I will lead on slowly, at the pace of the livestock that are ahead of me and at the pace of the children, until I come to my lord in Seir.”
- On their way to Bethel, Rachel went into labor. And when her labor was at its hardest, the midwife said to her, “Do not fear, for you have another son.” And as her soul was departing (for she was dying), she called his name Ben-oni; but his father called him Benjamin. When Benjamin was born Rachel passed away and she was buried on the way to Ephrath.
