When I was a young policeman I received a call for a child who fell out the window
when I arrived my sergeant and I were directed to the rear of the building
I looked around and found a piece of plastic Q decking that I used to immobilize the child we
where we saw a child on the ground who had severe head injuries the injuries
we decided to drive the child to the hospital in our police car
Tried to get a response time for the ambulance but one was not available
prior to leaving we called over the radio to have other police units block major intersections to help speed are traveled to the hospital
We arrived at the emergency room and turned the child over to the staff
we then returned to the location to investigate what happened
we were able to determine that a teenager who was watching the baby and her apartment had been in one room while the baby went into a bedroom and pushed a bed away from the window that didn't have any child guards and climb to the window and fell
