  • In his story Harrison Bergeron, Kurt Vonnegut makes the point that making everyone equal no matter the cost is a terrible idea. This causes pain and suffering to many throughout the short story and for some they cannot even remember long enough to understand the pain. If you attempt to make everyone equal whether it be in weight, intelligence, speech, and looks, this can cause discourse and make it difficult for anyone to live a day to day life. Everyone becomes so desensitized that no one is different and everyone is exactly the same. In these strip, I showed multiple instances when you can noticed things that are completely out of the ordinary that happen due to mass equality.
