Storyboard Text

  • Why are you crying?
  • I don't know what to do with my life anymore. I'm mentally drained
  • Mom, I saw Erin crying on the study room. She's too dramatic.
  • Eric don't say that. Maybe your sister is struggling with her mental health.
  • Is mental health important Mom?
  • Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood.
  • It affects how we think, feel and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress and make healthy choices.
  • Don't ever call someone dramatic 'cause you don't know what he or she is dealing with.
  • Okay Mom I'm sorry.
  • Mental health problems affect about 1 in 10 children and young people. They include depression, anxiety and conduct disorder, and are often a direct response to what is happening in their lives. The emotional wellbeing of children is just as important as their physical health. Good mental health allows children and young people to develop the resilience to cope with whatever life throws at them and grow into well-rounded, healthy adults.
