- Thomas enters the new section of the motorway, and he sees the newly installed camera on the side, which captures the registration plate of the car, looking up the owner details in the driver’s database, saving his starting position on the motorway.
- Thomas exits the motorway, and he notices the same type of camera on the side of the road, which sends his exit position to the software, which has calculated his toll cost from his starting and ending points.

- Thomas realizes that, he has not set up a self service account with the MOT of Norway for tolls, so he is not sure how he is going to pay the toll.
- However the system will send a bill payable to his home address,but it can’t notify him of that, because he has not set up the self service account yet.
