- This kind of relationship caused much tension and unrest between the social classes!!!
- Though poverty gripped Britain’s working class, the revolution created enormous amounts of wealth to the middle class made up of skilled workers, professionals, and business people.
- The industrial revolution created new jobs, contributed to the nation’s wealth, fostered technological inventions, and increased the production of goods. The middle and upper classes prospered immediately from the Industrial Revolution. And although it took longer for the workers, their lives eventually improved.
- The sudden boost of the industry polluted the natural environment. The coal that powered factories and warmed houses blackened the air. Textile dyes and other wastes poisoned rivers and landscapes.
