Although the Pilgrims encounter many hardships due to the severe storm, their faith in God is what motives them to continue their jouney.
One night the Pilgrims discover a river. While seeing the river, to their surpise there was also corn and beans there. They take the corn and beans and say they will repay the Indians with another gesture the next time they meet.
The Pilgrims decide to make peace with the Indians. Both groups sign a peace treaty. Then a thanksgiving feast continues for three days.
