Why are you celebrating Caesar's triumph? He has killed the great Pompey.
What are you doing out during the work day?
We are celebrating Caesar's victory, sir.
We are no less noble than Caesar is. In fact, in Spain he fell so ill, he cried out like a little girl.
I love Caesar, but I would never bow down to him.
If I can convince him that the civilians love him, maybe he will see himself in a new way.
I fear the Senate plans to crown Caesar king.
I will have to kill myself to avoid slavery if that happens. Ah, Cinna you have joined us. We must convince Brutus to join us on our mission.
(I,i)Flavius and Murellus speak to some commoners and find out that they have taken the day off work to celebrate Caesar. Flavius and Murellus are furious. They force the commoners to go back inside and tear down all of the decorations that are in honor of Caesar.
(I,ii)Cassius and Brutus talk to each other about their concerns regarding Caesar. Cassius decides to write fake letters of support from "citizens" showing their support for Brutus so that Brutus can start to see himself in a new light.
(I,ii)Cassius and Casca discuss the Senates plan to crown Caesar king. They are then joined by Cinna and they make a plan to convince Brutus to join them on their task.
