  • HEY STALIN, CHAING KAI SHEK, AND WINSTON THIS WOULD BE A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO GET JAPAN TO SURRENDER, SINCE GERMANY JUST HAS ASWELL!
  • ALL: W0W WHAT A SMART IDEA TRUMAN!
  • THIS WOULD BE THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY TO ANNOUNCE TO JAPAN THAT THEY NEED TO SURRENDER!
  • At the Potsdam Conference in 1945
  • Meanwhile back in Japan a couple days later, Emperor Hirohito got the Potsdam Declaration at his home
  • Japan must surrender undoubtedly with giving up all weaponsThe United States, Republic of China, and Prime Minister of Great Britain have agreed to allow Japan to end this war by agreeing to this declarationIf you decide to carry on with the war, we plan on total annihilation of the country of Japan and the Japanese ArmyIf you decide to surrender, we do not plan to enslave or destroy your race. We will occupy your land but nothing will change drastically
  • Okay so this is what I got! I know you guys aren't going to war with Japan, but this will be a great time to do this!
  • Almost a few weeks had a passed since receiving the Potsdam Declaration and he finally decided that it was time to stop the war and put his countries safety first from more potential bombings and starting a war with all the other countries that are allied with the United States
  • Emperor Hirohito was in shock, and was unsure of what he needed to do. Continue his battle against America, but potentially put his country in danger or surrender and give all the power to the United States
  • Oh My Gosh, What shall I do?
  • It was August 15th, 1945 and it was the final day of the war. Emperor Hirohito had made the final decision on ending the war and agreeing to the terms that the United States and allied forces had set forth. Emperor Hirohito was ready to address his people and tell them the news.
  • Meanwhile all throughout Japan, The citizens were worring day in and day out for the next bombing that could occur and wondering when this attrotious war would end. It is said that there were anywhere from 100 to 200 thousand japanese civilians that were killed just alone from atomic bombs.
  • CLOSED UNTIL THE END OF THE WAR
  • OPENING SOON!
  • We have announced that we will agree to the terms of the Potsdam Decleration
  • YAY! THANK GOD IT IS OVER
  • Emperor Hirohito adressed his country throughout the radio so he could reach almost all parts of Japan. This was the first time an Emperor had addressed his country through radio. Hirohito used this platform to deliver his formal speech of surrendering.
  • The Jewel Voice Broadcast or known as the"Gyokuon-hoso."
  • This has been a massive success for not only the United States and its allies, but a step away from this war and to work on the future of this world!

  • Over the next few years, America occupied many parts of Japan. Many of the citizens at first were afraid of what this would be after what disgraceful things the Japanese military had done to other countries, but it was quite the opposite. The United States helped put Japan back on their feet and helped them regain economic stability and created a great ally between the two countries...
