- Battle of New Orleans
- Follow me men! Let’s go seize New Orleans from the Americans and expand into their new territory. We want war!
- That dosen’t matter. We want more land! We will follow you Major General Sir Edward Pakenham
- But we just signed the peace. Treaty and we must watch out for General Andrew Jackson

- That is because of the new tax we have on foreign goods to help boost American buisnesses
- The Panic of 1819
- I can’t find a job anywhere! I don’t know what to do!
- I’m pretty sure all of this is happening because of all the wars that have occurred over the past years causing the United States to have to use many of its resources
- The British invaded New Orleans in hope of expanding into the land the United States gained in the Louisiana Purchase. They were brutally defeated by Andrew Jackson and his men on January 26, 1815.
- Missouri Compromise
- Missouri would like to be represented in Congress as a slave state but that would make the balance of power uneven. What should we do?
- The 20-25% tax America put on all foreign goods to help American businesses and this was the first tariff put in place for protection, not revenue.
- Monroe Doctrine
- How did you manage did to win this election when I had more popular and electoral votes than you?!
- The first large financial crisis in the United States caused by all the wars in which most of their resources were used up. This caused people to lose their land, bank failure, major unemployment, etc.
- The Election of 1824
- Hahahaha with the help of my friend Henry Clay I got a majority of the electoral votes in the House of Representatives
- In 1820 there was a compromise that for Missouri to become a slave state in Congress then Maine would become a free state to maintain the balance of power
- What about if we make Maine a free state in Congress and then we can keep the balance
- In 1823 John Quincy Adams and James Monroe delivered this doctrine to Congress declaring that the United States would not allow European nations to colonize anymore in the Western Hemisphere and the United States would not interfere with European colonies either.
- Today I give to you this doctrine stating that the Western Hemisphere is to be left alone and the United States is going to have nothing to do with European affairs
- There were 4 candidates including John Quincy Adams and Andrew Jackson, who had the most popular and electoral votes, but he was defeated by John Q. Adams when John gathered the most electoral votes in the House of Representatives with the aid of Henry Clay.
