- This story takes place in a barber shop at around 2:30 in the afternoon. A military leader by the name of Captain Torres goes to the barber for a shave but the barber is a revolutionary.
- "JUST LATER, THAT'S ALL"
- He has not shaved in four days.
- I really need a shave.
- The barber begins to shave the beard of Captain Torres. The captain tells the barber what he will do with the revolutionaries that he caught and how many he caught. The barber begins to contemplate killing Torres.
- I caught 14 rebels and I'm gonna kill them.
- So heartless...
- The main conflict of “Just lather that's all” is person vs. self. The barber argues with himself about whether or not he should kill Captain Torres.
- I'm going to have a nap...
- I could kill him right now. I will never get a better chance.
- The barber starts realizing that even though he would be a hero among the revolutionaries and save many lives, he would also become a murderer.
- If I kill him I will be a hero to the people but I would also become a murderer...
- The barber decides that he should just finish the shave and not kill Captain Torres.
- I should not kill him. He came for a shave and that is what I will do.
- Captain Torres tells the barber that he did not only come for a shave but he also came to see if he would kill him.
- I wanted to see if you would kill me if I came. I know killing isn't easy.
