- In this chapter, Miss Thomas tells Bud that he is going to stay in the Grand Calloway station and that they would need to find a school for him also since Bud has to stay he is going to have to help around the house (chores)
- In this chapter, Bud has some rocks that Herman has the same from all the places he has been, Herman thinks Bud stole them but Bud did not his mom gave them to him and when Mr. jimmy asks Bud what his mom's name is and he says Angela Herman freaks!!
- In this chapter, Herman locks himself in his room then Miss Thomas and mr. Jimmy give Bud the news that herman is his grandfather because Bud's mom was herman's daughter bud was so surprised..
