- Hey! I am Robert Frost, Iwas born on March 26, 1874, in San Francisco, California.
- I spent the first 11 years of my life here, until my journalist father, William Prescott Frost Jr., died of tuberculosis.
- Following my father's passing,I moved my mother,sister, and grandparents, to New England.
- I attended Lawrence High School, where I began writing poetry and where I met my future love and wife, Elinor White.
- After high school, I attended Dartmouth College for several months, returning home to work several unfulfilling jobs. In 1894, I had my first poem, "My Butterfly: an Elegy," published in The Independent, in New York City.
- After Elinor had graduated from St Lawrence University, we got married on December 19, 1895,.
