Bunker Hill was the first major battle of the Revolutionary War and in the end, the British won but the Americans proved themselves. This battle proved that it would be a long war and not just an easy takedown.
Saratoga
Attack!!!!!
The Battle in New York was a close call for the Patriots! They barely escaped causing the British to take over New York which was the significance in this battle.
Valley Forge
Yes I will. Next time you see the British, you will be prepared.
Are you going to train my troops?
Brrrr!
The Battle at Trenton was a battle to remember. It boosted the spirit/morale of all the Patriot troops. On Christmas night, they snuck up to the Hessian camp and captured more that 900 of them.
Yorktown
Freedom is ours!!!!!
Saratoga was personally one of my favorite battles of the Revolutionary War. The Americans won by ambushing British troops that did not follow the battle plan they had discussed. This was the turning point in the war and was significant because the French started helping the Americans.
We have company.
General?
What soldier?!
Valley Forge wasn't really a battle in the war, but a battle of survival. It was a cold winter and some died but the majority of the troops made it out alive. It was significant because with the help of Baron von Stueben & the French, they not only survived but trained to get stronger for when they met the British again and had the had all the resources to do it.
The Battle of Yorktown was the last battle of the Revolutionary War. Washington and the French trapped the British by Yorktown and when no British ships came as backup, they were forced to surrender. That meant the Patriots had won the war and the colonies were finally free!
