- MOVIE HOUSE
- Oh no!
- SODAPOP! DARRY!
- Need a hair cut, Greaser?
- Ponyboy is walking home from the movie house alone. This is dangerous for a Greaser because he could get jumped by a Soc.
- When he is about two blocks away from home, Pony notices a red Corvair driving behind him. He knows there are Socs in the car, so he walks a little faster, but it is no use.
- Five Socs come out of the car. They circle around Pony for a while until one of them pins him down and sits on his chest. He pulls out a knife next to Ponyboy's neck and says he'll "give him a haircut." Ponyboy starts screaming for help from his brothers or really anyone.
- COCA-COLA 5 CENTS
- That's an original and lovely name.
- My name's Ponyboy.
- The Greasers eventually fight off the Socs but Ponyboy is left in a daze on the ground. The other Greasers including Sodapop and Darry, Ponyboy's brothers, come over to help him.
- Later that night, Dally, Johnny, and Ponyboy sneak into a drive-in theater. They walk over to sit behind some girls.
- Dally starts bothering the girls to the point where they ask him to leave. He eventually does, and Johnny goes to get some sodas. Ponyboy, Cherry, and Marcia start talking. They mostly talk about Soda and Darry.
