Storyboard Text

  • Chapter 25: Symbolism
  • In the souls of the people, the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage!
  • Chapter 27: Theme
  • Well, too bad!
  • I don't have enough money for my cotton sack
  • Chapter 29: Imagery
  • In Chapter 25, the wealthy landowners law waste to all products from the farmers. The farmers damn the wealthy land owners and that the lower class would revolt against their capitalist counterparts.
  • In Chapter 27, workers find a cotton field that pays well, but some of the owners cheat the scale so they wouldn't have to pay more. Instead some people put stones in their sacks. This shows how people abuse their power in order to benefit themselves without considering how important money is to some people.
  • In Chapter 29, rain halted work on the fields, and mud created a hazardous working condition. Although it seemed like there was no hope, the chapter shows there are hard times, but there is hope no matter what. Although it rained, green was able to be seen on the hills, which shows there is hope after all.
