The Carbon Cycle
Cool! The 3rd part is that animals feed on the plants and thus passing the carbon compounds along the food chain. Most of the carbon these animals consume is exhaled as carbon dioxide. This is through respiration, and then the animals eventually die.
How does the carbon cycle work?
Let's find out!
Those dead plant and animals are then eaten by decomposers underground. The carbon in their bodies is then returned to the air as carbon dioxide. In some cases the process is prevented and turned into fossil fuel.
Wow, I never knew that!
Carbon enter the atmosphere as carbon dioxide from breathing and burning.
Well, the next part is that carbon is absorbed by plants to make carbohydrates in photosynthesis. They then put off oxygen.
