  • McKinely is bitter for...?
  • On Febuar 15th, 1989, the U.S.S. exploded, causing the US to get mad
  • The U.S.S. Maine exploded
  • McKinley was very peaceful and he did not want to go war
  • GO to WAR
  • McKinley
  • the letter was then stolen and put in News Papers and many gave an outcry and wanted to go to war.
  • McKinley did not want to go to war so instead of doing so he sent
  • the explosion killed more than 250 sailors and it was blamed on the Spanish.
  • In December of 1898
  • McKinley had a hard role because all the citizens wanted to go to war but McKinley did not want to
  • We gained 3 countries after the war
  • a list of demands that the Spanish had to do, and they agreed to all of them but the last demand.
  • the US signed a treaty gaining 3 countries and gave Cuba independence
