  • Antony, Lepidus and Octavius Converse
  • These many, then, shall die; their names arepricked.
  • Your brother too must die. Consent you, Lepidus?

  • Cassius Confronts Brutus

  • Brutus and Cassius Argue, Portia is Dead
  • Antony
  • Antony, Lepidus and Octavius all convene to discuss Caesar's will and a list of enemies to be killed. While Lepidus is out retrieving the will, Antony reveals his true feelings about him. Antony compares Lepidus to a horse, and says that he is unfit to rule Rome.
  • Caesar visits Brutus
  • Octavius
  • Lepidus
  • Meanwhile, Brutus is waiting at a camp located outside of Rome with his men. Cassius later arrives with his men and accuses Brutus of wronging him. The two men decide to continue the conversation privately, so that their disagreement didn't discourage the soldiers.
  • Cassius Dies
  • So I am free. Yet would not so have been,Durst I have done my will. O Cassius...
  • Brutus and Cassius head to the tent to resolve their issues. Cassius accuses Brutus of taking bribes, and Brutus accuses Cassius of doing the same. After discussion, Brutus and Cassius settle their debate. Later, Brutus finds out that his wife, Portia, had committed suicide.

  • This was the noblest Roman of them all.

  • In the middle of the night, Caesar's ghost appears in front of Brutus and tells him that they will meet again at Philippi. Influenced by Caesar' message, Brutus decided to gather the troops and leave immediately to meet Antony at the battlefield.
  • Why comest thou?
  • To tell the thou shalt see me at Philippi.
  • Antony, Octavius and their troops meet Brutus and his men in Philippi. The leaders exchange words then depart for battle. In scene II, the battle begins. Pindarus later falsely reports to Cassius that Titinus had been captured. Convinced that this means the end of the war, Cassius makes Pindarus stab him dead.
  • Now be a free man, and with this good sword that ran through Caesar’s bowels, search this bosom.

  • Lucilius pretends to be Brutus and gets captured. When Antony sees that the captured man is not Brutus, he sends soldiers to find him. Before the soldiers come, Brutus commits suicide by running into a sword. Antony and his army arrive and see Brutus's dead body. The war is over.
