- Dear SoccerFrom the start of my life I started to kick you around.Shooting you into the mesh of the net.I knew I loved you.I practiced every day and tried new tricks with you.Even at 7 years old I knew I was falling in love with you.I never gave up on you.I gave you all my body could handle.I ran after you, passed you, and shot youinto the net making the most satisfying sound.I never wanted you to touch the back of my net.So I ensured you went the right way by protecting my keeperTo the best of my aptitude.I played through the scorching heat, thick rain, and finger-stinging cold.Just for you. I went through the pain of injuries just for you.You made me want to help younger kids play with you.I refereed them when they did not play by your rules.I taught them tips and tricks to help them play you better.There are only a couple of seasons left that I can give you.My passion for you is finally fading, but I'll never forget about you.I want you to know that you helped meStay in contact with some of my greatest friends and helpedMe meet new ones as well.I will never forget the fun moments we had togetherand the amazing things we did together.Love you forever,Aidan
