Elizabeth came to Washington D.C to meet with King I. Jordan and the four student leaders to discuss what’s going on. Jordan let everyone know that he was “in full support of Zinser.” Then on the 10th, Zinser and Spilman were plannig to force themselves in. Students from other deaf school contributed to helping and brough food donations. This made huge progress in their protest
DPN Day 8March 13,1988
Finally Zinser resigned and King I. Jordan became president of Gallaudet University. The students held a meeting discussing how to not leave school for spring break. They continued marching until all of their demands were met.
This day was for rest after all of the protesting. Even tho only 3 1/2 of their demands got met. They still felt like they accomplished a lot
All the students needs were met! Spellman resigned. They set something up to where the 51% DEF majority would be achieved. And Dr. die I die king Jordan was the eighth president and first deaf president of Gallaudet university . The students felt like they were actually listened to.
