Storyboard Text

  • Storyboard by Ethan Watts
  • Still not getting it.
  • So, do you have a glimpse of cellular respiration?
  • Here we go again...
  • Getting Food In
  • Where's the point?
  • So first, we digest our food that we eat and it goes through our cells.
  • Cells are single , circular organisms.
  • Getting Oxygen In
  • Ok...
  • The lungs bring in the oxygen when we inhale, and they go
  • The lungs contain tiny air sacs that are able to trap in oxygen into the bloodstream
  • One day, three friends named Max, Xander, and Ethan were talking about cellular respiration. They talked about how it is essential for all life processes.
  • Moving Reactants to Cells
  • Cool!
  • As they go, red blood supplies are limited, good thing bone marrow produces more blood cells
  • So Max and Ethan got to explaining how the reactant, glucose, gets in the body.
  • Creating Energy
  • That seems like something I don't want to see but okay...
  • The three products made are carbon dioxide, ATP energy, and a tiny bit of water.
  • Then they got to telling how oxygen enters through the lungs.
  • Getting Rid of Waste Products
  • Wow, it is such a cool process!
  • And the ATP energy is used to carry on all life processes.
  • Then they talked about how the bloodstream carries the two reactants to their destination, the cells in your body.
  • After the two reactants reach the bloodstream, they take a long journey to the cells
  • They got to how the mighty mitochondria turn the two reactants into a product and 2 waste gases.
  • Once in the cells, they go into the cell membrane to the mitochondria and turn the sugars into 3 products
  • Finally, they explained how the waste products and ATP energy is used.
  • They two waste products, carbon dioxide, and water are exhaled out even though we can't see carbon dioxide.
