As Jaspreet felt more comfortable talking with the girls, she started to open up about her struggles in her new life. Jaspreet explained that she is having trouble adjusting from a small village in India to a larger multicultural city in Canada.
She expresses her anxiety towards opening up to new people because of the language barrier and cultural differences.
Victoria expresses her empathy towards Jaspreet as she has also immigrated from another country and understands the culture shock. Victoria gives her coping strategies that may make her adjustment easier. Ashley and Victoria both let Jaspreet know that they are always there if she needs to talk.
