- The flour milling industry starts at the fields of wheat grown by farmers in places such as
- The farmer harvests the wheat when it is fully grown.
- The wheat then gets shipped to a mill by train.
- When the wheat arrives at the flour mill along the St. Anthony Falls it gets grounded into flour.
- The flour goes to the middlings purifier to remove the bran and germ to make the flour more appealing to consumers and improve the quality.
- The flour gets put in a barrel (or in this case, bagged) to get shipped and sold in stores.
