I was very grateful for the foul weather on Aconcagua. This meant we were able to hang out at the tent all day. Me and Karen played Monopoly while Dad slept.
The next morning Pablo and Ali joined us from camp Nido. The weather reporte a clearing the next day , so we decided to make a summit attempt. We spent all day preparing for the trip.
Finally we reached it to Independent Refuge at 20,931 ft. This was about five hundred feet higher than I had ever been. The hardest part of our climb was coming up, otherwise known as a deep gulley called the Canaleta.
Finally we made it to the summit. It was amazing! We took many photos with sponsors and photos of just us.
We then made it back to the valley in Mendoza. I was glad to be off the mountain, though it was an amazing climb.
Finally we attended a New Years Party, and celebrated all night. The next day, we headed home from Mendoza
