- By the time I reached the corner the man was crossing are front yard. Lights from our house framed Atticus for an instant; he ran down the steps and together he and the man toke Jem inside
- Call Doctor Reynolds!
- Aunt Alexandra came running to meet me they were yelling and calling doctor Reynolds. Aunt Alexandra made sure I was safe and pulled me into a hug. She quickly ran to the telephone and pulled me with her .
- WHERE IS SCOUT!

- Aunt Alexandra called Agne's father to come over. Soon Atticus came out of the room and asked to get the sheriff.

- Aunty brought me overalls as a distraction and told me to put it on. After that she rushed back into Jem room, Then came back into the hall she patted me vaguely, and went back into Jem's room.

- A car stopped in front of our house And I knew it was doctor Reynolds
- I asked if Jem was gonna be okay and he told me that he was gonna be just fine
