- Phillip and his mother live together in Harrisonburg Virginia. Phillip's mom, Susan, recently lost her job and they were evicted from their home. They were able to rent out a garage near Phillips school, but the lack of structure at home is causing Phillip's grades to suffer.
- Phillip Receives Jacket (2015)
- Susan meets Harold from Mercy House in the supermarket one day. Harold overheard her talking on the phone to Phillip about where they were going to live and Harold informed Susan about the Mercy House and its wonderful programs.
- Phillip and Susan (2018)
- When people donate items to the Mercy House, they can feel great with the knowledge that their items will be going to a great cause! Here, Joshua, a local Harrisonburg local, came to donate a heavy jacket.
- Susan Call to Action (2018)
- Harold hears that Phillip needs a heavy coat for the coming winter so he goes through the Mercy House donations and finds the nice jacket that Joshua donated. Instead of selling the item, the jacket goes to someone in need!
- Three years after being assisted by Mercy House, Susan had found a new job and bought a new home. Now with Phillip starting school, it feels like they are able to start a new life! All thanks to Mercy House!
