Storyboard Text

  • I'm Keawe and I'm from Hawaii. I'm a poor man but I'm brave.
  • I have a big fishing boat and I think I'm good sailor.
  • I wish I had a big house and a big garden.
  • One day Keawe decided to see the world. He sailed on a big ship to San Francisco, in America.
  • San Francisco is a big town. It has a big harbor and many rich people live there. There are many beautiful houses.
  • One day, when Keawe was walking, he saw a very beautiful house.
  • It was smaller than the other houses but much more beautiful.
  • Keawe thought, "The man who lives in this beautiful house must be very happy."
  • The steps at the front door shone like silver. The garden was full of flowers and the windows were as bright as diamonds.
  • "This is a beautiful house"
  • Then he saw a man looking at him through a window. He wasn't young. He looked very sad.
  • He smiled at Keawe and went to the door.
  • "Would you like to see the rooms?"
  • The man didn't answer his question.
  • He showed Keawe all the house and Keawe said:
  • "you have a very beautiful house but, why are you sad?"
