- Harry Potter's great wizard parents are killed by the evil wizard-Voldemort. Harry is forced to go live with his non magic aunt, uncle, and cousin. He grows up being treated horrible by the Dursleys until he receives a letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

- Attempts have been made to steal a mysterious and very valuable package that is being stored at Hogwarts. Many speculate that Voldemort is involved.

- At Hogwarts, Harry Potter is sorted into the Gryffindor House. This is where he meets his friends Ron and Hermione. With talk of the mysterious package, these kids investigate the situation. They soon realize that it may be up to them to protect the Sorcerer's Stone (the contents of the package).

- After passing many difficult obstacles, Harry is left to battle Professor Quirrell, a host for Voldemort. With much bravery and effort, Harry is able to protect the Sorcerer's Stone from Voldemort.
- Dumbledore, headmaster of Hogwarts, destroys the very powerful stone to keep it out of the wrong hands.
- Thanks to the courageous actions of Harry, Ron, and Hermione, Gryffindor received enough points to win the House Cup.
