- The first major war in the American Revolution was the Battle of Lexington and Concord on April 19th 1775 and it kicked off the American Revolutionary war.

- Next, the Declaration of Independence was signed by Thomas Jefferson on July 4th 1776. on the document it said all men are created equal, individuals have the civic duty to defend these rights for themselves and others, and people have certain inalienable rights including life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. This document made African Americans, Women, and Native Americans all equal

- A year later the Battle of Saratoga was fought against the British and the Americans from September 19th 1777 to October 17th 1777. The Americans won because the British surrendered and this was a major turning point in the revolutionary war. When the Americans won it helped persuade the French to help with military aid. The Americans also won because they were on home soil.

- George Washington Took his to troops to Valley Forge, which is a 6 month camp starting on December 19th 1777and ending sometime around mid 1778. The patriots became very disciplined so they started to fight better in wars. conditions at the camp were harsh and cold and there was a shortage of many essentials.

- The last major war of the American Revolution was the Battle of Yorktown on September 28th 1781 to October 19th 1781. The Americans had won once again because the British General Lord Charles Cornwallis surrendered.
