There were once a great warrior prince called Rama married to a beautiful and strong woman called Sita. And there was a terrible demon king called Ravana who had 10 heads and 20 arms. He wanted to make Sita his wife. One day he tricked her by turning into a wounded deer. Sita pitied him.
But when Rama appeared, the deer disappeared. Sita was really worried so Rama decided to follow the deer realizing that it was actually Ravana. But he was worried of leaving her alone so he drew a magic circle around her to keep her safe.
When Rama went to find Ravana, the deer transformed into a thirsty beggar. And Sita came out of the magic circle to give him some water. Then the beggar turned into Ravana and kidnapped her on his flying chariot!
When Rama returned to tell Sita that he couldn't find the deer, she was gone and saw that she had been kidnapped by Ravana! He travelled through the forest and met the monkey king called Hanuman and became great friends. And he agreed that he'll help Rama finding Sita.
Hanuman looked for her over the mountains, across the sea for days and nights and eventually found her in Ravana's prison on the island of Lanka. He informed Rama and gathered a huge monkey army, and crossed the sea by forming a monkey bridge.
There was a great fight between the animals and Ravana's armies. And it seemed that Ravana was going to win, but Rama found a perfect time to use his magic arrow and killed Ravana. Sita was rescued and the people from their town had lit their lights and showed the way home for Rama and Sita
